[TDR Hosts] Guitar Apothecary-curated by Steam Pink
The Guitar Apothecary. It’s for you if you are a guitar player, whether amateur or professional, and whether you play in a band, or alone in your room.
Across our spaces there will be a variety of instruments to look at, touch and play, plus some informal talks- and we’ll have special guests playing for us throughout the night . Don’t be put off if you don’t want to play and don’t be shy if you do- no forced fun here, just come and meet some new people who are also nuts about guitars.
The night is being hosted by Gyorgy of Steam Pink- guitar curators. He says
“From classic and vintage, to modern and high-tech, guitars are one of the most interesting and fascinating items to collect. And as any collection, it is much more about the story and peculiarity of the items that creates their value and personality.
During this event, I wish to present my collection, tell mine and my guitars’ stories, and promote a project that aims to connect musicians, artists, and makers. I will discuss the idea of a collection, why to collect, how the guitars tell a story of growth and development of my career, and the space for modern and new guitars within important curated collections.”
There will be a full bar on the night and you do need to register ahead of the event- 18+ only please. Please note that as a grade 2 listed space on the 1st 2nd and 3rd floors of a Georgian townhouse we are not wheelchair accessible .
