[TDR Presents] Salon48
Curator (and TDR Housemistress) Nina Jesih, writer Jessica Otterwell and artist Kit Glaisyer invite you for an evening of Art & Music on Friday 21st February from 7pm here at TDR (Beau Nash House, Union Passage, Bath).
Our pop up Salons are relaxed and informal gatherings, designed to celebrate ‘Art, Music and the Mind’, bringing together artists, musicians and an appreciative audience, encouraging new connections and collaborations.
Our desire is to create an eventful evening for you to spend with new like-minded acquaintances and enjoy the company of music, mixed with interesting art. Don’t be afraid to visit us by yourself and meet .
David Lawrence, illustrator and painter, will give a brief introduction to Applied Surrealism as he sees it: how, in a nonsensical world, nothing really needs to make sense and how, in an Age of Desperation, choosing Surrealism now seems a sensible option. You will also find out how and why he arrived at painting such odd images – and why did he refuse to follow his mum’s advice to ‘just paint something nice’?
Live music entertainment by Psycho-Acoustic Goat, a high energy 2 piece who make high energy psychedelic acoustic dance music.
Drinks will be available at the bar.
Doors for the event open at 7pm, however you are welcome to come earlier, as The Drawing Rooms are open for you.
Entry £4 for the event available at the venue. All money taken at the door goes to performers.
