[TDR Presents] – Secrets of a Red State – Live Gaming Night
Come and join us for our first ever live action gaming night in conjunction with Chance & Counters
Vestruvia is a land of both hardship and decadence in equal measure- where safety is a luxury, and one not even the rich can afford. This is especially true tonight, as the President of Vestruvia is holding a secret ball, and it is a secret that all the wrong people are talking about.
Secrets of a Red State is Chance & Counters second Youdunnit. Set in the cold war battleground country of Vestruvia, where the international glitterati rub shoulders with traitorous politicians, secret policemen and rival teams of spies. Secrets will be traded, deals made and broken, and there may even be an assassination or two. You’ll need to find who has what you want, and how to get it from them – whether that’s the hottest ride, the hottest news stories, or state secrets Vestruvia definitely doesn’t want getting out.
Don’t worry if you’re new to this sort of thing – everyone is! The experienced gamesmaster will make sure you get engaged in the game and soon you’ll be undercover with the best of them. So dust off your cocktail dress, press your dinner jacket, or pull on your best polo neck and get ready to come play!
Q: I don’t understand, what on earth is this?
A: A youdunnit for 50 people, somewhere between a role-playing game and a murder mystery. For a little more information, check out Bristol 24/7’s review of Chance & Counters’ last event here

Q: Will there be food provided?
A: There will be some bar snacks provided, and the venue will be offering food throughout the evening.
Q: Are there any age restrictions?
A: Due to the nature of the game and the venues, this is an 18+ event.
Q: Is it fancy dress?
A: Getting dressed up definitely helps! You’ll receive your role a week before the event, so you’ll have a little time to locate suitable accoutrements. In general just go for evening wear.
Q: I’ve never done anything like this, will I be any good at it?
A: Fear not! If you don’t want a character who’s crucial to the storylines, C&C have other options. Just let them know how involved you want to get and they’ll make sure your role is appropriate.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: Nothing! Everything you’ll need to play will be provided on the night.
